I’m a long-term yoga practitioner and ashtanga and women’s yoga teacher, obsessed with aligning yoga with the menstrual cycle to achieve a greater feeling of health and well-being.

I’m here to help you connect to your body’s innate cycle though all stages of life, to feel in-tune, connected and deeply rooted in your mind-body connection and use this connection to navigate life’s phases with grace.

Yoga is more than movement, movement is more than physical

I’ve been practising yoga for over 20 years, I’ve studied and trained with so many wonderful teachers all over the country as well as visiting teachers from all over the world.

For me, yoga started as a weekly stretching class but quickly developed into a regular home ashtanga yoga practice, which supported me through pregnancies, births and the working mother juggling act. I’ve learned so much over the years, particularly the importance of the breath, movement, meditation and a daily devotional practice, however that looks.

The penny dropped for me when..

Despite having a regular yoga practice, I continued to feel exhausted by life and it wasn’t until the ‘penny drop’ moment when I discovered menstrual cycle awareness, and realised I could also apply this to my yoga practice. I no longer wanted to practise yoga in a linear (i.e. I must practise every day for an hour in order to progress) way, but found ways to support my cycle in a cyclical way – truly aligning my yoga practice with my menstrual cycle.

For the first time, I felt the stress and overwhelm from juggling family and work begin to shift. My body and mind began to relax and soften with the flow of my cycle. I realised that working with my cycle not against it, was an empowering way to truly connect my mind and body through yoga.

I delved into reading everything I could about practising menstrual cycle awareness and started applying this to all areas of my life to develop a deep, cyclical understanding of myself far beyond my body and my yoga mat.

Stress and overwhelm dissolved, health and well-being increased

My passion is to align yoga with the menstrual cycle and offer it in an easy and accessible way, as a tool for all women, regardless of whether you have a menstrual cycle or are transitioning through peri/menopause, to achieve a deep connection to your unique and cyclical mind and body.
